Danny Graves was DFA'd...

Bets on when Trader Jim will grab him?

I mean, isn't the policy all ex-Reds players to whom Bowden gave excessively large contracts to get signed to Washington?

At this point, could he be any worse than what we've gotten out of the pen?

I know Graves is a righty, but I could see Eischen being replaced with Graves.

Graves is a LHP specialist
Only lefties can get punked against right-handed pitchers as much as Danny does.  We should pick up Tony Womack, too.

Too late on Womack
Too late to sign Tony Womack -- the Cubs signed him to a Minor League contract last week:
The Cubs have signed second baseman Tony Womack to a Minor League contract. Womack was designated for assignment by the Reds on April 25. In nine games with Cincinnati, he batted .222. In a 13-year career, Womack has played for the Pirates, Diamondbacks, Rockies, Cubs, Cardinals and Yankees. He has a career .273 average with 35 homers, 366 RBIs and 362 stolen bases. "He can play the outfield, he can pinch-hit, he can pinch-run," Baker said. "When we had him [in 2003], he was injured. We didn't see the real Tony Womack. His arm was bad, and he's apologized for that many times." Womack hit .235 in 21 games for the Cubs.

No I dont think he'll
bring in Womack AND Graves, I think he realizes that no one will watch baseball if the teams are that unbalanced I mean how the hell would we ever lose a game with Womack and his mammoth 672 career OPS (and he should be a main stay in the National League for years, hes only 36) and thats not even including Graves with is ERA+ of 83 and WHIP of 1.603 over the past three years, plus he's so versitle he can star or close. There is no way Bud would allow one team to get THIS good.
