Nationals sign with Columbus

Through 2008, the Nats affiliate will be the Columbus Clippers. I didn't see it anywhere in the Natosphere, so I thought I'd provide a link to the Columbus Dispatch article.

Good city for Minor League ball. Good state for baseball.

It'll only be a two year thing, though, because both the Reds and the Indians have deals up after 2008, and both will probably take a stab at the city.

Actually, Nationals Farm Authority has been all over this. I think it's a nice move for the Nats. Ultimately, I'm not sure how much the location of a minor league affiliate matters except to those people who live in the minor league city. But getting out of the PCL and closer to the parent club seems like a nice move indeed.

I love it! When I went to Mardi Gras, a childless Britney was Queen and Luke Perry---LUKE PERRY!---was King. And I'm going to an annual convention in NO next summer, which means I'll have to watch Lastings Milledge or something.
