Here's how we voted here at federalbaseball.com, and by "we", once again, it's our beleaguered editor, Winston Smith and myself casting the votes...

NL MVP (e chigliak)                               NL MVP (WInston Smith)

10. Aramis Ramirez                               10. Carlos Beltran

9. Hanley Ramirez                                   9. Ryan Ludwick

8. Prince Fielder                                       8. Carlos Delgado

7. Lance Berkman                                    7. Chase Utley

6. Carlos Delgado                                    6. Aramis Ramirez

5. Chase Utley                                          5. David Wright

4. Ryan Braun                                           4. Lance Berkman

3. David Wright                                         3. Ryan Braun

2. Albert Pujols                                         2. Albert Pujols

1. Ryan Howard                                       1. Ryan Howard

• - So Mr. Smith and I are two of the only 3 to put Howard #1, huh? I guarantee the third vote was cast by an NL East blogger who saw how dominant Howard was down the stretch, and was impressed enough, as I was, to vote for Howard as the most valuable player in the National League in spite of the fact that he just .251 with 199 K's in 610 AB's. Howard also managed to smack 26 doubles and 48 HR's with 146 RBI's for the NL East's best. Howard in September: .352 AVG, 7 doubles, 2 triples, 11 HR's, 32 RBI's, .422 OBP, .852 SLG, 1.274 OPS...just when Philly needed it.

• - Pujols' #'s: .357 AVG, 44 doubles, 37 HR's, 116 RBI's, 54 K's, 7 steals, 104 walks, .462 OBP...alright...maybe I'd change my vote if I could do it again...but right at the end of the season, all I could think of was how ridiculous Howard had been...

• - Lance Berkman's the only other player to receive a 1st place vote. .312 AVG, 46 doubles, 4 triples, 29 HR's, 106 RBI's, 18 SB, 99 BB, 108 K's, .420 OBP...impressive...but better than Pujols or Howard? I don't think so...

• - What? No Nationals? What about Guzman? He was, uh, valu-a-ble...No, I know.

• - Who's your pick? Is it between only Pujols and Howard? Would you throw Berkman in? Can you give the MVP to a pitcher? Or should they stick to their own awards, and the MVP for everyday players? CC Sabathia was the only pitcher to even get a 2nd place vote...and only 2 other pitcher landed in the Top 10 on anyone's list...Who is your NL MVP...(ed. note - "In case anyone watches the American (DH) League's inferior brand of baseball...here are the results in the voting, which I did not participate in, for the SBN's AL MVP...
