A post at the SB Nation's Boston Red Sox blog Over the Monster entitled, "Teixeira to choose between Red Sox and Nationals within 48 HR's", cited as a source, a report from MASN.com writer Roch Kubatko entitled, "Gammons weighs in", where Mr. Kubatko first writes that ESPN.com's Peter Gammons is reporting that Mark Teixeira's choice is down to the Angels or Red Sox...then in an update he states that he didn't hear the report himself and now he believes Mr. Gammons said Tex's choice was down to the Nationals and Red Sox...(ed. note - "Not sure if Mr. Gammons was simply neglecting to mention all but two of the East Coast teams in the running for Teixeira, or if there's something to what he says, so take it for what it's worth, but I watched the video and this is the actual quote causing the stir..."):
