SBN's Red Sox' Blogger at "Over The Monster" Calls Out The Nationals...
In an article entitled, "Nats attempted to steal from Red Sox", at the SBN's Red Sox' site Over The Monster, blogger Randy Booth references a Boston Globe piece by Gordon Edes, in reporting that: "The Sox inquired about reliever Jon Rauch before he was traded by Washington to Arizona, but the Nationals were asking for top prospects Michael Bowden and Jed Lowrie." Mr. Booths' opinion on the asking price for Rauch: "That is called highway robbery, folks. At its best, too. Obviously we're not going to give up Bowden or Lowrie for a guy that just "pretty good" for the Nationals. I would trade them Wily Mo Pena though ... oh, wait." The "Player to be named later" that the Nationals sent to Boston in return for Wily Mo Pena...Chris Carter, 25, IF/OF, is currently hitting .299 at Triple-AAA Pawtucket this season with 23 doubles, 2 triples, 20 HR's and 71 RBI's.. DAMN IT... BOWDEN!!!!!!!!!
