Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

According to MLB.com's Bill Ladson's article entitled, "Nationals trade pitcher Ayala to Mets:

"The Nationals traded right-handed relief pitcher Luis Ayala to the Mets on Sunday morning for a player to be named later, but that player is expected to be infielder Anderson Hernandez.

"Ayala requested the trade weeks ago because he wanted a change of scenery, due to personal problems."

Yes, the same Anderson Hernandez, 24, who has hit .138 over 35 MLB games with the Mets, and is currently batting .203 with a .262 OBP in 125 games...Then again, Luis Ayala is currently sporting a (1-8) record and a 5.77 ERA...

Say goodbye to another remnant of the Montreal past of the DC franchise...Luis "Set-Up" Ayala is a Met.
