Washington Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: LIVE AFL REPORT!!!
Coming to you this afternoon from Surprise, Arizona, it's Federal Baseball.com's LIVE AFL Report, with Stephen Strasburg and the Phoenix Desert Dogs taking on the Surprise Rafters at 12:35 pm MST (2:35 pm EST) from sunny Surprise Stadium. The AFL East's No.1 team versus the AFL West's worst (or, uh, third place team). The Washington Nationals' '09 No. 1 overall pick, pitcher Stephen Strasburg (2-1, 6.97 ERA) and the Desert Dogs vs former Braves' and current Texas Rangers' pitching prospect Matt Harrison (1-1, 6.00 ERA) and the Rafters. I'll be providing updates here in the comments section, and posting thoughts and pics on the FEDERAL BASEBALL.com TWITTERFEED. (ed. note - The TwitterFeed is acting up, so I'm including it here...but apologizing in advance if it doesn't work right...at least I know our comment section will work...thanks, SBN!!")

Close and reopen your gamedays!
Currently there’s an injury delay, but Gameday sometimes hits a snag where you have to close it and reopen it. Then you’ll get back to the game live.

One more reason the Nats need to upgrade the infield.
SS’s who can’t move to their left can’t field all those ground outs.

Didn't follow him in, but I felt like a paparazzi stalker taking shots of him all day....
I sat everywhere, first row behind home, but netting is frustrating, I moved to the first base line for one inning, took up two different spots along third base line for different angles, got a little bit of everything…even think Strasburg gave me a little nasty look when I snapped away as he walked toward dugout…
Got nice shots of Storen too, sat down at first base dugout first row and just snapped away the whole time he was on the mound, tried the fire away while he winds up method to get his whole delivery on film…let’s hope the camera makes up for my lack of skill as a photographer…

Rooney was warming everyone up so I got a few good picks...
Lots o’ Strasburg on the mound, Espinosa and Marrero in on deck circle and at plate, got shots of Mandel, Wilkie and my boy Storen…I borrowed a sweet digi cam from my friend and he’s going to have to burn them to a disc for me when I get home, but by Sun-Mon there will be a treasure trove of images….

Apparently, Desmond is only going to play a couple of more weeks for Licey. So, if Dukes doesn’t get down there quick, there’ll be no point in following them, really…

Wow, the Phillies chased AJ Burnett in the bottom of the 3rd and
Lee just singled in a RBI. 6-1 Phillies. Looks like it’s going back to NYC.
It is kind of nice to see the looks of consternation in the Yankees dugout.

MissB. Who does UNC play this weekend?
We’re at Clemson at 7:45. Our mini win streak will end. I actually believe this prediction. I predict 59 to 27. No joke. Our D is that bad.
Duke...hard to know what to predict.
Carolina should win handily, but Duke has won a few they shouldn’t have and lost some they should have won.
BTW, your presence must have been good luck for the Ravens Sunday.
F.O.D. & D. #1(Friend of Dukes and Desmond)
The Ravens game was fantastic. Great time.
You should handle Duke. But like you said…just never know anymore.
I'm with you, Doghouse...end it with no home fans happy....
