It's the Dominican Republic's Tigres del Licey against the Puerto Rican entry in the Caribbean Series, the Leones de Ponce...Lions and Tigers and...Anderson Hernandez, Tigres' and Nationals' second baseman is starting at second and hitting second. Ronnie Belliard starts at third for Licey, and bats eighth in the order...Ricardo Nanita, DC's 1st pick in the Triple-A Phase of the Rule 5 Draft, is in right for Licey...and outfielder Jorge Padilla, one of 13 Minor League free agents Washington signed this winter is playing for the Leones...It's a Nationals' Spring Training Preview...

Very good question.

Honestly? Baseball.

I remember there was a time when the outfield walls were clean. Now they look similar to the minor leagues.
There are rolling ads behind home plate.
Baseball jerseys are virtually the emptiest jerseys around. Devoid of hardly any garishness. All of that space is screaming for an advertisement. (I’m a purist! I don’t want to see any of that crap!)

The one sport that makes advertising of a product or business on the uniforms somewhat palpable is the Premier League. One big bold advertisement that’s done tastefully. Surely, the people that design those logos and the people that designed the Mets Inaugural season Patch for ~~Citi~~ Mets Field are from two entirely different universes.
