Pitching a Zim
Man I am getting some serious man love for J Zimmerman (the pitcher ) from just reading box scores on spring games. So I decided to coin a new phrase "Man that guy is pitching a Zim!" I am going to use it everytime I talk about a great pitched game. Any love?
I'll bet your using it come August!
Thinking about J Zim and Strasburg in the same rotation could get my mind off girls. Oh wait its back.

You're not the only one who wants Zim(n) in the rotation this year...
…I’m pulling for him and Balester.
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

Baelster
I really want Baelster to succeed, but I have less confidence he will. To me his talent screams average pitcher, which is good, but he also seems to be a year or so away from being average. But a mid to low 4 era and 180 innings would not shock me for 2010. He might be better suited for relief in the long run as he has yet to show the 2-1 K/BB ratio you want minimally from a starter. He’ll see 20 or so starts this season and have an era in the low 5s.
Martis looks like he has more upside than Bally to me, but my gut tells me he will eventually dominate in middle relief and get stuck there. I see a 70 appearence set up guy with a high 2s era in 2010 or 2011. He probably spends at least half this season in the minors. But he could wind up the closer if Hanrahan fails.
Of course, I hope I am wrong and these two pitchers both become regular starters with low 3s ERAs and years and years of 15 win seasons.
