Thanks Aztec
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a pitcher work so fast.
Strasburg…That arm is your lottery ticket. No flag football, no bike riding, no basketball at the gym.
Protect the cannon.
We got to see a couple pitches from the stretch in the warmups. I would love if somebody would get an interview with Randy St. Claire and ask him what he thinks of Strasburgs motion. But that ain’t gonna happen. I imagine he’s not allowed to discuss it…but I bet he looks at every game tape and salivates.
Whatever you do...
Don’t watch the Driveline Mechanics video…I won’t even link to it, cause I don’t want to see it again…
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

This will make you feel better.
This fellow has a masters in biomechanics from Cambridge University and wrote his thesis on predicting soft tissue failure. He knows what he’s talking about. Kyle Boddy does not know anything about predicting injuries. And you won’t find any real scouts that think the inverted W (or M) is a real flaw in a pitchers mechanics.

Jim Callis
Jonathan (Atlanta): Seems like there is alot of attention on the internet about Strasburg and the "invereted W". Is it a big deal? If it was such a big deal, why would we not hear more about it from scouts?
SportsNation Jim Callis: (2:47 PM ET ) I actually wrote a column about this that should be posted on baseballamerica.com today or tomorrow. One internet site came up with the inverted W and a lot of bloggers seem to have run with it. We’ve talked to 10-20 scouts about Strasburg, and none of them is worried about his mechanics. I joked with Keith Law that he didn’t mention the inverted W (isn’t that an M?) in his Strasburg blog on ESPN.com, and Keith’s reply was that it didn’t exist when he saw him. Could Strasburg get hurt? Sure, but that’s true of any pitcher. Scouts don’t think his delivery puts him at risk, and yes, that’s still no guarantee he’ll stay healthy.

Good find.
I want to thank the good Lord for making me a Philip Rivers fan.

Anyone got any video of Scott Boras preparing to fleece the Nats?
" (Stewie) Wait a minute. Germany is building WMD's? Then, why doesn't America go in there and kick their a$$e$? (Brian) I don't know. Maybe it's because they don't have any oil? (Stewie) Ohhhhhhh. Clap, clap, clap, clap, claaaaap. "

Really?
Cause even if they signed him for that 25 million the KLaw is reporting (50 is absolutely out of the question), it’s pretty likely he’d still be a bargain.
