Anderson Hernandez pulled up lame, holding the back of his leg while running out a groundout with what is reportedly a hamstring "strain". Ronnie Belliard took over, knocked in a run, DC wins 6-3. Nick Johnson 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Elijah "Super" Dukes 1 for 3 with double, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI's, 1 SB. Cristian Guzman 2 for 3 with a double...and Adam Dunn got a hit...yeah yeah...

Too bad about Andy-Hands, but a great game!

Mrs D was babysitting for a friend, so I came over to watch their cable and saw the game. That was some fantastic defense in the infield before the hammy strain. Did we mention “don’t trade Nick Johnson?” Fantastic! Can you believe the great stretches we saw out of him? (Let’s not imagine Adam Dunn trying to make those plays) 2-4, 2 RBI… It could be the year of the semi-mythical Healthy Nick Johnson! SooperDooks ripped that double down the line, didn’t he? Poor Lasto didn’t make much of the leadoff spot, but he managed to track down a few flies in CF without making it look as difficult as he usually does. BASEBALL!

Speaking of Adam Dunn, is it me, or does he totally look like Will Ferrell? He kind of talks like him, too.

SooperDooks' liner went from bat to grass in the blink of an eye...may have disappeared for a moment...

Though I’m ashamed to admit I’ve watched it, (several times), some variation of Ricky Bobby might haunt Adam Dunn for the rest of his days…

Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."
