Manny Ramirez Suspended 50 Games
Crazy, performance enhancers, doubt its roids though, probably a lot like JC Romero situation.
"Manny Ramirez has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and will be suspended 50 games starting today, The Times has learned.
The test result and suspension is expected to be announced later today.
The suspension will cost Ramirez $7.7 million, or roughly 31% of his $25-million salary. Players in violation of baseball's drug policy are not paid during suspensions.
Ramirez is expected to attribute the test results to medication received from a doctor for a personal medical issue, according to a source familiar with matter but not authorized to speak publicly.
The Dodgers informed triple-A outfielder Xavier Paul this morning that he was being promoted to Los Angeles."

I didn’t think it was possible to be disgusted again, but I am. Sick of it. Absolutely sick of it. All I can do is wonder about Albert Pujols. Yes, that may seem silly, but remember how we all thought prior to McGwire, Clemens, Bonds et al.
Totally sick of it.

Let’s play baseball. If he failed because of male enhancer pills. He should tell us and be on his way. The hiding of everything sucks. It make everyone wonder.
Crap, I just want the Nats to get rid of Cabrera, bring up Clippard and sell me a hot dog at my next game…

try DCab as closer before you cut him, get rid of old man river Villone, and get Clippard up here. But Clippard has been in the pen in Cuse, so maybe give Stammen a shot at the bigs

i think we'll see Stammen and Clippard soon enough
as long as Villone’s used ONLY against lefties, he can be useful.

DC has a 4.44 era... that is not all bad
Sure the other stats suck, but as long as he keeps the ERA below 5 he will keep his job.

He always implodes. Always. Only starter to not go six innings....and...
A team with a good GM cut him lose and our team with that little idiot picked him up off the scrap heap.
He won’t be good in the duck pond and he could never be a closer. He’s horrible and can’t be trusted to ever have a good outing.
The only reason he has an ERA under 5 is that he gets miraculous plays when he lets so many runners on base and I assume because our crap defense turns runs that probably would have been earned into unearned runs.
Send him down with Lasto and let a kid who potentially has a future give it a try.
The looming Kensing disaster is on Rizzo.

Manny's drug...From the Sportingnews.com website
The drug that caused Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez to fail an MLB drug test is HCG, a women’s fertility drug, two sources told ESPN.
HCG, human chorionic gonadotropin, is similar to another women’s fertility drug, Clomid, which was used by Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi and other clients of BALCO. It often is used by men using steroids to restart their bodies’ testosterone production after ending a steroid cycle, according to several reports.
“Recently, I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me,” Ramirez said in a statement issued by the players’ union. “Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy.”
Sources told ESPN that HCG often is used by male athletes when taking steroids shuts down their bodies’ ability to produce testosterone. A source also said that some athletes us HCG by itself, as a substantial boost in testosterone production alone would enhance performance.

Congrats to the Dodgers on their 13-0 streak at home, btw. I’m sure Manny had nothing to do with that.

That explains the hair !!!!!!!!!!!
Manny was caught using a female fertility drug!!!! It causes your body to produce more of its own testerone.
from ESPN fantasy baseball: "HCG is not a steroid, it has similar effects of taking testosterone, which MLB prohibits. According to the report, HGC is used by steroid users to restart their body’s natural testosterone production as they come off a steroid cycle. It is similar to Clomid, the drug Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi and others used"
This is a good think for Pierre owners in fantasy. I think the NATS should win tonight!!! The dodgers will be all stunned and confused.
