MANNY MUST BE FIRED

THOUGH ALL THE BULLPEN TROUBLES ARE NOT HIS FAULT, A CHANGE NEEDS TO BE MADE. THIS TEAM IS 16-44 AND IS ABOUT 10 OUT OF 15TH PLACE IN THE NL. THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE TALENT LEVEL IS THAT MUCH BELOW THE REST OF OF THE LEAGUE. WE SHOULDN'T LOSE EVERYDAY. I SAY CHIEFS MANAGER TIM FOLI IS THE MAN. HE IS FIERY ( JUST LOOK ON HIS WIKIPEDIA PAGE)  NOT SAYING MANNY DOESNT CARE, BUT WE NEED A MANAGER WITH A FIERY ATTITUDE WHO WILL ARGUE WITH UMPS WHEN NECCESARY. HE NEEDS TO SET A PRECEDENT THAT LOSING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I DONT WANT RIGGLEMANN. WE NEED SOMEONE WHO WILL BE SUCCESFUL ENOUGH TO MANAGE NEXT YEAR AND INTO THE FUTURE.

GO NATS GO!

Firing Manny will change nothing

This team lacks athleticism on a grand scale on the defensive side of the ball which is a DNA problem not a management problem. Blame Bowden, Blame Rizzo, Can’t blame Manny. The teams looks like it is trying as hard as possilbe everyday. Some guys look like they are trying to hard. Not sure firing Manny would change anything.

But baseball is weird. Sometimes the seemingly useless moves pay off.

Rigglemen has long track record of losing. Not sure we want him in either.

I long for the good old days of Frank Robinson. He was a great manager.

Its k

I couldnt resist the Simpsons quote tbh.

I agree with your post. While I also agree that firing Manny probably wont turn much around, sometimes it does change player attitude and results.

At the end of the day the team is on track for the worst record EVER in MLB history… you cant keep your job when your record is at a historic low… you just cant.

I would bring back Frank in a flash. I think the team could use a hard head in the managers chair to give some of the young guys some good habits. Im not sure that the defensive slackness has been (in part) due to Acta’s easy going attitude.

Keep Acta, fire Kasten

Replacing Manny would be another setback if that’s possible. I say fire Stan Kasten, hire a competent President of the club, and have that person determine if Manny should be fired. .

I don’t know what the players think, do they not like Manny? Does he not motivate him? My only complaints about Acta have been that the baserunning is too conservative, and at least publicly he was supportive of St Claire. We don’t know what he said behind the scenes, he’s not the kind of guy who’d criticize a coach in public.

Nats need to do more than react, we need the lesson learned

The Nationals need a kick in the pants but I’m not sure Manny Acta is the one responsible to be the foot. Where are the team leaders? Seems the only vocal player has been Villone and there’s no coincidence that he’s the senior team member. One problem with rebuilding through the farm system w/no free agents is the lack of experienced players to be clubhouse leaders/run the kangaroo court. That will not change until we spend some $ to jump start “the Plan”. Even the Braves spent cash on veterans like Terry Pendleton, Sid Bream, etc. when they executed their plan. Don’t we have someone in our organization familiar with that story?
