Syracuse Chiefs Weekly Update

June 9th -

Chiefs lose to Rochester 9-8- Corey Paterson, Pete Orr, Corey Kasto, Brad Eldred, and Marcos Yepez all have 2 hits.

Sauuuuuuuuul pitches last 3 innings giving up 1 run but gets the loss.

June12th- Double header-

Game 1 - Chiefs win both against Red Sox 4-1. Mock out duals Smoltz. Mock goes 6 innings giving up 2 hits and a run and strikes out seven. Corey Patterson's double broke the game open. Kasto also homers off Smoltz.

Game 2- JD Martin pitches very effective giving up 1 run in 6.2 innings. He scattered 5 hits to lower his ERA to 2.45.

Sauuuuuuul gets the one out save. J-Max homered.

June 13th -

6-2 loss to the Pawtucket Sawx-  J-Max went 3-4 with a homer. Mike O'Connor pitches 3.2 innings giving up 4 for the loss.

June 14th -

Chiefs lose 15-5 - Scott Olsen makes the start going three innings giving up 3. Sauuuuuuuuul comes in and goes 2.2 innings giving up 8 runs. Ouch! Ryan Langerhans goes 3-4 with two RBIs

June 15th-

Split double header with Buffalo(Mets)

Game 1- Colin Balester goes 6 innings giving up just 2 runs. Tyler Clippard comes in for the save and Chiefs win 4-2. His ERA is now 0.98. The Chiefs score 2 in the eighth for the win.

Game 2 - Horacio Ramirez lasts two innings and gives up one run. Jorge Sosa pitched the final five innings giving up 2 runs on seven hits. Chiefs lose 3-2. Also, who knew Wily Mo Pena is a Met.

- J- Max with a good hitting week and Garret Mock looks dominant vs PawSOX
