Lastings Milledge???

When does Milledge return to the AAA lineup from his thumb injury?  I believe he was supposed to be out 6-8 weeks since his injury and surgery but I expect the Nationals to make some trades this season ether including Milledge or clearing space for him in the future.  Still, he has to get on the field to get value.  Has anyone heard anything about his recovery or have any insight into possible moves?

Lasto...

Havok…I was thinking this afternoon that it’s been a while since we heard any Milledge news.

I looked at his last 10 games and the bunting injury must have happened on May 11. I’d expect a status update in another one to three weeks.

Heck, if the Nats dump Kearns and trade Dunn, that leaves Hammer, Harris and Dukes. Milledge may get his shot at redemption afterall.

oh noes

There are 4 outfielders in AAA id call up before Blastro. He needs some serious AAA time and a attitude readjustment before id take the chance. But that’s just me…

Langerhans!!

He’s almost the definition of the AAAA player, but he’s a plus defender, he would be a real CF, and he’s patient at the plate (even if he can’t hit much when he doesn’t walk).

We are all jinxed in NatsTown™.

Sweet...problem solved...cut...print...

So, when Hammer comes back, the Nats can release AK, bring up Langerhans. Then it’s Dunn, Langerhans (what was his nickname?), Dukes, Hammer.

So, Nick will be traded…does Dunn then take over 1B full time? Or does Dunn get traded too?

We could end up with a decent defensive OF. Maybe more Willie Harris?

Ugh. Can we fast forward to the playoffs? The rest of the season is gonna suck.

Trade Dunn, NJ and Guz

Cut AK.

Then I dont care who plays the rest of the year… it wont make any difference. Maybe stick some kids who are learning there. All really depends on who we get back for them.

No, No, Maybe

Dunn – We finally get power in the lineup and you want to trade it away! The threat of Dunn creates opportunities for the other around him in the lineup. His main liability is fielding so we need more coverage in CF to take some of his ground or move him to 1st. I think we’ll find that he’s not that great there either. Since there’ll be more chances at 1st he should stay in Left.

NJ – The only reason to trade NJ is to make 1st available for Dunn. He’s consistent and leads by example. Many will want him but what can we get that’ll ever come close to his current presence?

Guz – he doesn’t get SBs anymore and his range is getting less but we have little SS depth in the organization. He hits for average and I love yelling Guuuuuuuuz at the game so we better get a lot or I’m against it.

Lastings joins the list

Hate to say that I’ve already added Lastings to the Jose Vidro, Felipe Lopez, Paul Lo Duca, Wily Mo Pena, Austin Kearns (and more) Jim Bowden uncovered junk pile. Hope I’m wrong.

That list is the equivalent of a compost heap...

Stuff that used to be good and worthwhile now steaming, stinking and decomposing in the back 40.
