Washington Nationals Trade LHP Michael O'Connor to San Diego Padres
According to baseball sources, the Washington Nationals traded LHP Michael O'Connor yesterday to the San Diego Padres.
The rest of the transaction was not divulged, but according to the source, O'Connor will report to the Padres Triple-A affiliate in Portland, OR.
There has been no announcement or confirmation of the deal from the team as of this writing.
The 28-year old George Washington University product has a lifetime MLB record of 4-9 in 26 appearances (21 starts), with a 5.45 ERA and 1.430 WHIP in parts of 2006 and 2008.
This season, he was 2-6 in 14 appearances (10 starts) between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse.

O'Connor was good for about 2 weeks the first time he was called up.
Maybe we can get a bat that won’t break in return for him or an autographed Jake Peavy baseball.
