TODAY'S STARTERS AND AND AN INTERVIEW WITH THE SBN's BLUE JAYS BLOG...
Today's Starting Pitchers Are Going To Stare At You Now...
Winless in his last 8 with the Washington Nationals 1-7 over the same stretch, Jordan Zimmermann's looking for his first W since April 26th. The Nationals' 23-year-old right-hander has walked 5 and K'd 28 in his last four outings, allowing just 3 ER in his last 11.0 IP after getting hit for 5 ER in 5.0 innings in his last May start...Brian Tallet got hammered by the Marlins last time out, surrendering 8 ER on 10 hits in 3.1 IP. Before that Tallet was 2-0 in his previous three starts including 7.0 scoreless the AL's hard-hitting Rangers.
Nationals vs Tallet?
Ronnie Belliard - 1 for 1.
Adam Dunn - 1 for 1, 1 2B.
Cristian Guzman - 1 for 3, 1 2B.
Corey Patterson - 0 for 5, 2 K's.

Hey, Mezza!
I just got home, but was listening on the way home. The bottom of the 7th was seriously awful.
"Luck is the residue of design." - Branch Rickey
VERY SAD.
I’m consoled only by the fact that even the coach didn’t expect Carolina to go this far this year. They lost too many top players last year and the year before.
But that 7th inning last night was seriously a nightmare.

noooooooo
why is belliard in the game??? at least wait until the pitcher spot comes up!
this is not good
if he gets an error, minus 100 pts for acta
Belliard's in because they're now down to MacDougal in the bullpen
Get as much room between the pitcher’s spot as possible in case Colome has to throw 2-3 innings.
by bluelineswinger on Jun 19, 2009 10:41 PM EDT up reply actions
Acta opts for the double switch again. Why not leave Elvis in the game and pinch hit for the pitcher with Belly? Bad Managerial Move.
