Official Trade Forum

I just wanted to start up an open forum to get everybodys thoughts on our upcoming trade opputunities.  Who you think is going. Who you want to go.  What we should get.  Long term plans, etc., etc.  We need to look out for each other and share thoughts and news, I feel like these trades along with Strasburg will really set the tempo for the forseeable future, so talk it up everybody

Here is who I think may go...

Batters
Nick Johnson- Bos, SF, NYM are all (would love to get Parnell from NY but Broadway moving there hurts a little)
Willinghammer- Atl, Bos, NYY, and others

Maybe going, just maybe...

Batters
Kearns (I wish)
Belliard
Guzman (Don't want him to go but could be good trade bait, especially with health issues like Lowrie in BOS)
Dunn (hope not, but could get something good in return)
Harris (I really hope not)

Pitchers
Beimel (Doubt it)

My ideas on these guys

Nick Johnson – 1-4 good/okay prospects to boston or giants
Kearns – We do wish
Belliard – 1-3 good/okay prospects
Guzman – really good trade bait, I don’t want him to go, maybe 1-4 good prospects to BoSox or Cards
Dunn – Really, REALLY good trade bait, maybe 2-5 goood prospects to someone like the BoSox that needs a big batt
Harris – I have no idea if we could move him, i don’t want him to move though
Beimel – No Idea

Guzman, Dunn and NJ would get some good interest.

But Guzman & Dunn leaving would take Washington back to square one, theyre both on contracts that are good and lock them up for what should be their prime.
They get traded then its taking a leaf out of Pittsburgh’s book.
