Washington Times update...
There are still plenty of people in the organization that don’t believe he has the right attitude to succeed up here. And that feeling was only strengthened when Dukes reported late to the ballpark this morning. Yep, players were supposed to be dressed by 10 a.m. Dukes didn’t arrive until after that, at which point he was told of his demotion.
He sort of seems to cast a black cloud over whichever team he plays for. Just my opinion, though…

I think Dukes is a product of his upbringing, alas.
Plus Manny has never liked him or wanted him around. He felt like he was one of those problem people Bowden saddled him with (along with Da Meathook). So I don’t think Manny went out of his way to try to help Dukes at all. IMHO, of course, but it’s based on what I’ve read and some of Manny’s quotes.

honest story
last year i went to a nats game with some friends from college, one of my friends friend was best friends with zim all through high school so he treated us to a game, and going out with zim afterwards,
elijah was really a great guy and a cool ass dude to talk to, i live in richmond and he was down here on rehab with columbus and saw me and remembered me and hooked me up with a hat and some seeds for the rest of the game, so i have a soft spot for him
I was a fan before he ever came to DC, so I've Been pulling for him!!!
