Dmitri Young was 0 for 3 with an RBI. Cory VanAllen (LHP, Nationals' 5th Rd pick in '05) allowed just 3 H, 2 ER and 2 BB in 5.1 IP, now (2-4, 5.77 ERA) in '09...Our favorite Potomac Nationals (Class A) lost 6-5 last night to the team with the least intimidating logo in sports, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans...SEAN ROONEY can't be stopped!! The subject of the P-Nats' Anthony Masterson's latest Potomac Nationals Report, was 4 for 5 Thursday with a double, a run scored and 3 RBI's...The Hagerstown Suns (Class A) beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers by a score of 8-1 on Thursday. Right-handed starter Marcos Frias (signed as Free Agent out of the DR), gave up just 1 ER in 6.0 IP in which he gave up just 5 hits while K'ing 6...The Washington Nationals' 4th Rd pick, 121st overall in 2008, Graham Hicks (LHP), got the W for the Vermont Lake Monsters (Rookie) last night in their 7-6 win over the Oneonta Tigers. Jeffrey Kobernus, the Nationals' 2nd Rd pick, 50th overall behind Stephen Strasburg and Drew Storen, is 1 for his first 17 with Vermont.
