From Chico Harlan......
Interim manager Jim Riggleman said of Dukes, “He’s gonna be in there. Every day? Well, we’ve got a lot of good players there… But he’s predominantly going to be in there.”
Said acting GM Mike Rizzo: “We’re looking to see what we’re gonna be doing in the future — who belongs, who’s a keeper, who’s gonna be part of the future of the organization.”
On Sosa:
“He’s thrown the ball the best of the staff right now [in Syracuse],” Rizzo said, “and he was by far the manager’s and the pitching coach’s choice to be called.”
We couldn't buy a AA pitcher for $2 million? Really?
