LOGAN KENSING DFA'd

mlb.com

It’s not known who the Nationals will call up on Tuesday. The Nationals are considering either outfielder Justin Maxwell or infielder Mike Morse, both of whom are with Triple-A Syracuse.

Maxwell had two stints with Washington this season, going 3-for-24 with an RBI. Morse, who came from the Mariners in the Ryan Langerhans trade last June, is hitting .327 with six home runs and 31 RBIs for Syracuse.

I guess Syracuse could use him, but as I said the last time, if you don't drive a stake through the heart, they'll arise to haunt again...

Hope StrasBunny...

Goes to the IndepedentLeague and blows out his elbow&shoulder. Where’ll Borass and StrasTweeter be then. I’m all for a kid gettin what he thinks he’s worth but this is ridiculous 12.5 Million and he’s never pitched above a C-Rate College League. Plus he got lit up in the biggest game of season. Does the Mal d’Expo still linger….???

Strasburg decline an offer at $12.5 according to ESPN.

Just saw it on the crawl during Around the Horn. No link yet that I can find.

by vanatsfan on Aug 17, 2009 5:16 PM EDT reply actions

They have 6.5 hours and they are only offereing 12.5??

Come on Nationals, you can do better than that.

Actually, now it's unclear

The ESPN crawl cites SI, but the SI story hasn’t been updated to say that the offer was declined.

But yeah, I dunno if I’m the only one wondering, “you waited two months to even make an offer, and this was the best you could do?”

Chapman's...

Results at the WBC were mediocre. His stuff was OffTheCharts. Even with mixed results, just making the Cuban Team proves more to me than K’ing JuniorCollege tranfers at SanDiegoState or wherever he went…O agree with the Yu Darvish idea too. Perhaps FederalBaseball’s many ’Eastern connections could throw in a good word for the Nats…???

The Mountain West Conference is the 7th highest ranking RPI conference in all of NCAA

That had 3 teams in the top 25 this season for the majority of the season and the great majority of non-conference opponents were also in the Top 25, including Virginia, Cal State Fullerston, UC Irvine, Fresno State, and USD. Not to mention a AT LARGE bid into the NCAA College World Series. But ya, he pitched against little leaguers according to you. Get your facts straight before you start spouting nonsense out of your mouth.

Also If Chapman is so good

Why would you want to “amend” him?
