Game 104: At least Kearns scored...
YAAAAY! Cristian Guzman's RBI double. (+0.112)
BOOOO! Stammen gives up an RBI double to Lastings @#$*%! Milledge (-0.168)
Hero (?): Nyjer Morgan (+0.084)
Goat: Craig Stammen (-0.372)
Limited heroics for the Nats, and an awful lot of teh suk. The Pirates are an awful team--why are they so much better than us? Good thing PNC park is so nice. (FFS, Chevy Frickin' Chase has a new TV series? Why can't the Nats win!)

Man, that flatline after the 6th inning........... hurts to look at....
Maybe it’s being on the road after The Trade.
We couldn't buy a AA pitcher for $2 million? Really?

I hope they shake it off today...
It’s such a nice ballpark—I’d love to see the nats play some good baseball there.
LET’S GO NATS GO!

Guess what FB writer and spouse walked across the bridge with Dibbler?
We saw him behind the hotel as we were walking over, and he must have taken a can to the park, because he walked up behind us as we for to the Roberto Clemente Bridge. Mrs D started chatting with him. He as two grown kids Dom his 1st marriage, they have a couple of big dogs, he used to live near Silver Spring when he first started at XM, “The Lerners have GOT to spend some money.” He said McCutcheon was quite a talent and a lesson for the nats that “at this level, anyone can hurt you.” I joked about “fan revolt” if we don’t sign Stras, while he promised a “broadcaster revolt” if that happened: “you’ve GOT to sign your first round pick.” Has no particular liking for Boras, but he’s just doing his job (and is better at it than most). He said he’d mention our names in the broadcast, so listen for something that sounds like “ben and Mary” (I’m curious whether and what he remembers).

"sounds like 'ben'"...heh...
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

Good to hear.
This was almost kind of what I expected (I think an unchained Dibble could be wildly entertaining / informative as a color guy); he’s too competitive a person to be toeing what would pass for the company line when he’s not working.
If the Nats fail to land Strasburg, Dibble getting fired after a profanity-riddled on-air rant might make it worth it.
Eric Berry for sending the guy who wins the Heisman spinning 720 degrees in the air at the podium - or for intercepting it and returning it to where it rightfully belongs

Geez...they'll have to add a five second delay to the broadcast.
