Riggles needs to play to win every game. Belly, even though he’s fixin to be traded, woulda been a good move at that point.
Maybe he was told to play Belliard only 1 inning since the
trade is almost done.

The Nationals traded second baseman Ronnie Belliard to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday afternoon for minor league pitcher Luis Garcia and a player to be named later. Garcia, at the time of the deal, was pitching for Class A Great Lakes of the Midwest League.
