SWEEEEEP!! Washington Nationals Rally From 6-0 Down To Beat Florida Marlins, 12-8.
You Have To Believe!!!!
Down 6-0 after two innings, the Washington Nationals rallied all the way back with Elijah Dukes' solo HR in the seventh tying it at 8-8, and Ronnie Belliard's RBI single putting DC ahead in a 4-run eighth that ended with DC up by a score of 12-8. Ryan Zimmerman goes 4 for 4 with a triple a HR and 3 RBI's, Elijah Dukes goes 3 for 4 with a HR and 4 RBI's!!! The Nationals bullpen of Ron Villone, Jason Bergmann, Tyler Clippard, Sean Burnett and Jorge Sosa combine to hold Florida off the board after the fifth. The Washington Nationals win their fifth straight, and SWEEEEEP the Marlins out of Nationals Park, after going 0-9 in '09 against the Marlins before this series.
Heroes of the Game? Elijah Dukes for his game-tying HR, and Jason Bergmann, who enters the game with the bases loaded and 1 down in the sixth and pops up Hanley Ramirez and Jorge Cantu to keep DC in the game.

Half-listening to the radio post-game show...
…and there was a snippet of interview with Elijah Dukes! He talked about his hitting, and a little bit about Riggler’s approach to coaching, how he talks to the team every game. Dukes is talking to the press!!
"It's not a secret, you don't need to be an expert on math to know that walks plus errors equals runs...." --Mannyger Acta
Outstanding!!
Just checking in to see how the game went and very happy to see the win! Lovely word, SWEEP! Onward Nationals!

AMAZING!
Padilla walked into the Nats' clubhouse for the first time and said, "My God. I'm in heaven."
Is it me? Or is Stammen starting to fade?
He’s been rocked the last few starts from memory and I wonder whether he is fast about to be done for the season. I like the kid and think he’s done a great job but id hate to see his confidence get shot during the last bit of the season.

Great job by the Nats 5 in a row!!!
Jorge Sosa beginning to be liked more and more by Ryzim. Pitching very well since being called up. Everyone is hitting. This is great. We just got to get the starting pitching and we can catch the Mets or Padres. Go Nats!!!!
Espeically with this 'once in a generation talent' crap
Means we pay $20m+ for the next Mark Prior’s.
In my Padilla thread I was struck by how successful the lower rounds of a draft can be…ill take Mark Buehrle (38th round, 1139th overall)… he cant be any good…

Dibble made a helluva point today...
paraphrasing…
Why not pay a free agent pitcher who’s proven in the major leagues rather than giving in to some ludicrous demands from a guy who’s never pitched in a professional game. He went on to say that college baseball is easy and it’s a completely different game than pro baseball. Then he named all these sure things who were average at best. Good points.
Back to Roscoe…It was great seeing Storen on MASN today. Great kid who wanted to sign fast so he could play. These d-bag agents are making the perception of their clients go right down the drain. I guarantee Boras is telling Strasburg that all he has to do is say “it’s my agent’s fault this took so long” and that will smooth everything over. It will be a rude awakening for Stras when that doesn’t work.
Just watched the game.....
And despite the Belli heroics and those of others, the 2B fielding helped set up the need for them. And, hurry back Jesus Flores……
