Fail to sign him and sign another quality FA like Dunn (or Cabrera) and I feel we’re spending our money wisely. Fail to sign him and just lament Boras and I’ll be disappointed.

I'm feeling this is a T-Plush kind of night.
Haren can negate some hot hitting. It’s going to take T-Plush engineering 2 runs on the basepaths and Clippard to support 5 innings of Mock.
I know there’s a lot of Riggles love up here. I’m more about Morgan and improved team defense and team speed. Putting Morgan in the right place helped out a lot defensively and moved people to slots where they were better served. Sometimes they can get too aggressive on the basepaths under Riggleman like last night’s Guzman thrown out stealing in yesterday’s first.

Thought it was funny that someone on fangraphs went nuts about the Nats failing to evaluate Hernandez properly because he crushes lefties (I wouldn’t say crush, but he’s considerably better vs. lefties). What they neglected to mention is that Gonzalez has been even better in a similar sample size against lefties…. or that Gonzalez has a better glove… or that Gonzalez has better speed… or that Gonzalez seems to handle right-handers a bit better.

I was against firing him early on, then I thought he had to go…….. then I was distraught his absence wouldn’t be any fun, because he provided an easy target for a lost season……. then, I thought it would be worse if he were fired and shocked when it happened.
