"If you're Jordan Zimmermann, what's the last name you want to hear right now? Dr. James Andrews. Unfortunately for the Nationals' rookie right-hander, an MRI of his injured elbow has been sent to the noted orthopedist, who will look at it Monday and recommend a course of action for the club and its top young pitcher."

Yusmeiro?...... I'm thinking he falls back to earth....

“…last Tuesday in Pittsburgh, he had a no-hitter through seven innings

Philadelphia managed just two hits against him through the first six innings…."

A combined 1st inning walloping, and the patented hiding in the bushes then jumping strategy every other inning or so is called for…

Keep the good times rollin'!

After yesterday’s game, I think these Nationals are capable of anything. I was at the game, and I thought they had maybe a 20% chance of winning against Dan Haren, and then they hit him for five earned runs. Haren is one of the top five pitchers in the league (#1 in opponent batting average), and the Nationals rolled all over him.

It truly is a good time to be a Nats fan.

Well, although potatoes and tomatoes (as well as

peppers and eggplants) are all in the Nightshade (or Solanacae) family, I don’t believe tomatoes can get the same potato blight that affected the potato-famine potatoes.
(I also lots of other stuff too! But I’m also allergic to those darn nightshades. Major bummer.)

Thnx, that was interesting.

I was under the impression that it’s not the same blight/fungus but a similar one that attacks tomatoes. The science part of my brain requires that I now go find the truth!

This year my biggest tomato problem is trying to keep the squirrels, chipmunks, mice, etc. from eating them.
