Washington Nationals' Backstop Jesus Flores To Dr. Andrews With Torn Right Labrum.
(ed. note - Check Out Last Night's Game Report: HERE)
Flores? Out 3-6 Months.
Toward the end of tonight's loss to the Phillies, MASN Sideline reporter Debbi Taylor mentioned that the Washington Nationals had sent Jesus Flores back to the doctor to have his rehabbed right shoulder checked out after it once again began aggravating the 24-year-old Nationals' catcher. Shortly after the game, Washington Post writer Chico Harlan posted an article entitled, "Flores Has Torn Right Labrum, Will Miss 3-6 Months", in which he reported that Flores had in fact suffered a torn right labrum as he recovered from a stress fracture in the same shoulder. Flores, who will undergo surgery on Wednesday, is expected to miss 3-6 months while recovering, with DC GM Mike Rizzo telling the Post's Mr. Harlan, "'He should be ready for the middle of spring training, worst-case scenario.'"

For the love of Jesus!
Who hasnt had surgury from Dr Andrews? The Nats must be solely responsible for his beach house in Florida!
Padilla walked into the Nats' clubhouse for the first time and said, "My God. I'm in heaven."
merde......
''...we were tied for first place for the wild card, and we can't have September call-ups. We couldn't do any trades. They didn't want us to win.''

As said on the Twitter:
I’d shed a tear if I hadn’t turned off my emotion chip back in June…
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

A Nats fan's basic survival instinct...... I'm amazed that I seemingly got off the emotional rollercoaster after last year...
''...we were tied for first place for the wild card, and we can't have September call-ups. We couldn't do any trades. They didn't want us to win.''

If only I'd turned it off in late June of '05...
I could still be coasting on good vibes…

I can't wait to be coasting on good vibes........
Like when we’re only five games ahead in the division, and someone walks a guy or goes 1-4, we can go at each other and trash the team like Red Sox fans….

Imagine having anywhere close to his offensive numbers spread through the year from our catchers position. I hope he gets better. This is two years in a row he’s gone down for most of the season…I know it’s different since it’s complete freak situations, but the fact is, it’s two years in a row.
Flores behind Dunn, Hammer and Dukes...
Heck even Anderson Hernandez might have worked in that lineup…

Flores protecting Dukes with his .877 OPS..........Like Dunn helping Zim (on the good streaks)

does Mike Rizzo know the meaning of "worst-case scenario"?
DC GM Mike Rizzo telling the Post’s Mr. Harlan, “‘He should be ready for the middle of spring training, worst-case scenario.’”

Schneider would surely help out with this young pitching staff...
What are the plus/minuses here
Plus
He can call a game
He can teach the kids how to pitch
He’s not to a defensive catcher
He’s lived here before
Minus
He can’t hit anymore
He’s arm isn’t that great anymore
Please add to this list people
From Washington Times article/editorial by Zuckerman
Derek Norris exploded this year at low-Class A Hagerstown and is going to rank among the top minor league catchers in baseball this winter, but he’s only 20 years old and it several years away.
Bryce Harper, next year’s possible No. 1 draft pick, is only 16. You can’t even think about him entering the picture for four or five years, minimum.
mere pouchlings.......Bring back Schneider!! ......
