Game 134: FAIL
I guess we kept it close until John Lannan's (-0.165) horrible, terrible, no-good inning (-0.398). Bats were quiet again, and I'm not even going to bother listing the three Nationals players who managed a positive WPA, because the highest was +0.003! Shut out and swept by the Padres... Fire Riggles!

Not good
But at least Riggles stopped the rot. I still have my doubts he’ll be back but he did impart a morcel of credibility to a team that was almost historically bad.
I think this series has also showed the lack of depth on the team. When guys like Zim and Dunn are struggling and maybe a bit tired from a long season – someone else needs to step up… it hasnt happened.
We need Plush.
Padilla walked into the Nats' clubhouse for the first time and said, "My God. I'm in heaven."

Tony Plush… aw, Tony Plush! [sniff]
"If somebody hasn't seen me, I try to leave a good impression on their mind, so they come back to enjoy this beautiful game of baseball." --Tony Plush
few more weeks of madness to go guys
Then we can…in the worlds of the UASF “refuel, refit and rearm” and have another go next year.
Padilla walked into the Nats' clubhouse for the first time and said, "My God. I'm in heaven."
I can never get over the fact
they have an offense and defensive team… most bizzare thing Ive seen in my life. Why cant they just have the same guys on the field at the same time?
Its a decent game…but if they had just one ‘line’ – the game would be heaps quicker. Instead it takes 20 minutes between downs!
(You can see I like my football free flowing)

And now this from Mr. Harlan at the WaPost...
A Losing Streak and Elbow Soreness – Chico Harlan:
“Rookie starter Craig Stammen, a member of Washington’s pitching rotation since May, has been scratched from his start on Friday because of elbow soreness. An MRI, scheduled for Thursday in Washington, D.C., will determine the severity of the injury.”
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

Just when you think the news couldn't get worse, something else pops up...
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."
