• Acta An Astro?
"Cooper might not be the only manager fired" - MLB - Yahoo! Sports - Gordon Edes
"The next managerial hire will be Wade’s first, giving him a chance to put his stamp on the club. Possible candidates include Jim Fregosi, with whom Wade had an excellent relationship when both were in Philadelphia, manager-turned-broadcaster Buck Showalter, and Manny Acta, who was an Astros coach before he became manager of the Nationals. The name of former Astros star first baseman Jeff Bagwell(notes) also has been floated, though he has no experience as a coach or manager."
• Ronnie B In Dodger Blue...
In 86 games and 187 AB's with DC before Ronnie Belliard was traded to LA, the 34-year-old infielder was hitting .246, with a .296 OBP, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 5 HR's and 22 RBI's in '09, but since becoming a Dodger, Belliard's hit at a .304 clip with a .339 OBP in 18 games and 56 AB's, over which he's collected 4 doubles, 4 HR's and 14 RBI's, including the HR he hit in his first AB in Dodger blue and the Grand Slam he hit off the Giants' Jon Garland this weekend.

Best questions ever....... C'mon Donkey!!!
It’ll be hard to see Belliard in Dodger Blue, and yeah……he’ll probably show us what we’re missing….
Rizzo in dreads?……. yeah, he should do it…but, smaller ones like Ronnie B.’s last year.
Mezza: ''Are we there yet?'' ...Roscoe: "In baseball hell? Yes we are."
"I did not want to take Pete Orr's bat out of the lineup."
Whaddya know.......Dukes in RF, Desmond at 2B, and I guess we'll next see J-Max in Syracuse
Harris — 8
Guzman — 6
Zimmerman — 5
Dunn — 3
Willingham — 7
Dukes — 9
Bard — 2
Desmond — 4
Hernandez — 1

I figure we'll see Zimm and SS someday and maybe Dunn can pitch or play CF.
I guess spring training will be when we find out if Desmond and Guzman trade positions.
Elect Desmond starting SS.
Roscoe, you have to give the Dodgers the same advantage the Phils and Fish were given...
We’ll let the next management team figure out what to do with these guys in ST…

Minor League ball has a nice profile of Desmond...
I’ve made my uneducated comments there. Please put down yours. I’d love to read what y’all have to say. In either case it looks like Desmond has made himself a prospect again…

I like what you said, especially bringing up the hamate issue.
It seems another case of a desperate move to push a player too fast. At least Ian appears to have the mentality to deal with it and can be “coached up”…….

Heading to the park...
Overcast and just a tad warm. Rained a bit earlier this afternoon, but dry right now. Remember thatvlast home series with the dodgers last season? Sweep, Guz hit for the cycle… (although in true Guz form, his single was an out where he got caught trying to stretch it). Good times.

As a long season winds down...
…even the concessionaires are starting to lag. Or perhaps they’re getting entrepeneurial. I just bought a beer from a guy who offered $5 refills if I brought the cup back. Heh. We may gave good times tonight after all!

So tonight is Peace Corps night...
They had a bunch of volunteers around the IF with flags of all the countries they go to. Sadly, the anthem was performed by “Jared,” described as an “international smooth saxophonist.” I think I threw up in my mouth a little during his rendition.

what a crappy game.
the only thing redeeming is Dunn’s tater. i unfortunately had the “opportunity” to sit on the away team side tonight, and i gotta tell ya, the Dodgers fans around me tonight were mean-spirited idiots. just a crummy night at the park all around :-(

Absolutely painful to Watch
Tell me friends, can it get much more painful?
I think I changed the channel to watch the minor league game on ESPN,
The Durham Bulls vs. the Memphis Redbirds.
The Nats looked tonight, especially the pitching, exactly what they are, a minor league team.
It is embarrassing to watch. I think the Nats face the real possibility of losing 110 games.
This shows real improvement over the past 4 years. It’s all Manny’s fault. Isn’t that right Mr. Lerner.
