Welcome to the Postseason, "Doc" Halladay

I'm certainly no Phillies fan, but I've been a Roy Halladay fan for a long time.  As a Yankee fan I was happy to see him leave the AL - he was a reliable Yankee killer.  As a Nats fan it's tough to see him with the Phillies, but to throw a no hitter in his first postseason game, well, it couldn't happen to a better or classier guy.  Well done, Doc. Well done indeed.

I have to agree with you. I was happy for Halliday and...

holding my breath during the 9th inning.
What an incredible feat…for his first post-season appearance. And he was the calmest guy in the stadium.

However, I hope the Reds regain their footing…and just pound the Phillies in Game 2!

Do not put your faith in what statistics say until you have carefully considered what they do not say.

Doc Halladay is awesome

The Phillies can still suck it.

I missed that game, sadly.

Now, GO REDS.

Needs moar dingerz and moar Josh Donaldson.

I was rooting for the Reds and I was rooting for it to get broken up

He is still with the Phillies and this will only add to their sense of arrogance and entitlement. Upon reflection, it’s probably pretty good. This has given baseball the news cycle and has people talking about other historic performances like the Jack Morris 10 inning shutout for the Twins and Don Larsen’s perfect game.

The wait for 10/7 begins. This man is focused. Are you?

Doc in the NL with no DH plus less familiarity...

…could make him a true monster this postseason going forward. Let us hope the Reds are watching their Nats film and drawing on their own NL central experience to take down Oswalt.
