Federal Baseball is putting together a rotisserie fantasy league on ESPN this year. It's a standard 5x5, so the categories are batting average, runs scored, stolen bases, home runs and RBIs for batters and ERA, WHIP, saves, strikeouts and wins for pitchers. None of this is set in stone, so if we decide we want to change something we can certainly do that. As of now, the draft is set to happen on March 25 at 8 PM EST. That can change too.
It doesn't cost anything to enter, but the winner of the league will receive both bobbleheads from the 2009 season, Adam Dunn and Frank Howard, shipped to their door.
It's a 10 team league, so if you're interested please reply. But also, please only play if you're going to be serious about it... it's no fun having a 10 team league with only six people playing.
I also realize there is a FB/BD league going on, so this isn't meant to detract from that in any way. I'm sure there are enough people to fill both leagues!

I definitely want that Dunn bobblehead! But, I’m also in the Bucs-Nats league, so I don’t want to take a spot from someone who just wants to be in this one.

I'm a huge fan of OBP
But some people have criticized the use of that and BA in leagues.

I am interested if we have to draft on a weekend or late at night.
Warning I am very good! In 20 plus years of playing fantasy I have never finished below 6th in a 10 team league, and last season I finished first and second in my two leagues.

Weekend/Friday would work best for me and a lot of other people. A lot of people work or have school or whatever.

I like OBP as well
Makes Dunn and Willingham better picks! However, it can be much harder to draft because there aren’t scores of fantasy mags that make easy lists using OBP like BA.

Quinn looks like a great league is potentially forming
I’ll make this the only team I play all season if we find a much better draft time. But it is impossible for me to draft at that time, so please change it. 5-9 EST is when I have to pick up my daughter from school (I am CST) and then feed her and get her to bed. My wife takes night classes for her PhD so I am superdad until my daughter goes to bed (she is 5). I could do 10 PM EST on the same day, or even noon. Actually most evenings after 10 EST is good for me. I also have all weekend until about dinner time Sunday as well (with warning).
I am a good, honest, and active player who will play until the last day even if I am losing. Beating me will make you very happy ( I promise). Please find a new time.

It sounds like a lot of people are going to have a hard time with the draft...
We can definitely move it. If anyone else has times they know they can’t do it, please let me know, and I’ll pick another time based on that.
Id like to play as well
and endorse OBP as a category:) I just think it tells you more about how your hitter is doing than BA. Not a big deal, im in regardless.

12 team league using all MLB as a draft pool is better than 10-team anyway. you don’t want to be drafting all-star teams :-)

Change of plans:
With the free league from CBS Sportsline available, we will be moving this league there. We had 12 players interested, but almost a week after posting the information, only six players have joined, so nobody is going to get left out.
To join the new league, send me an email (address in my profile) and I’ll add you to the league. If you’ve already signed up for the league on ESPN, your spot in the CBS Sports league is guaranteed, but send me an email ASAP please.
CBS Sports really is a lot better than ESPN, in terms of league customization, at least.
Does anyone know how to change the name of the team?
I looked it up in the help section, but the page they told me to go to has the team name locked.
