I'm with you, Ed.
Good gamble by the Rizzinator. For no more than $3 million, they’ve got a guy who went 19-6, 19-7 and 8-2 from 2006-2008. Sure, he did nothing last year, but the potential is there. And as Ed said, his style jives with what the Nationals already have.
I like it.
Hindsight...clearly would've been a better use of the $, but he was gone...

Wang
i don’t think he’s a “top of the rotation guy” as Mark alluded to, his style is more 3-4 than 1-2. but before he was injured he did have good success. if he’s healthy and can return to form, it’s a great signing. if he doesn’t recover (physically or mechanically) all the Nats are out is $2M. good deal.

Wang is a decent signing.... probably better than Marquis.
He wont be helped much by the right side of our infield, and he will be out for part of the season. Plus, he will have to work his way back into form for at least another third of the season. Nonetheless, he has value and if we rehab him properly he can be shipped for a much needed infield prospect next winter.
Meanwhile we can get some decent innings out of some of the youngsters until Wang is good again.
