Washington Nationals: Still Trying To Trade For Starter?
There's little or no ambiguity in MLB.com's Bill Ladson's latest "Inbox: Nats inspiring confidence", where he writes that it's hard to make predictions about how successful the Nationals will be in twenty-ten, "...because Rizzo is not finished trying to build the Nationals for 2010. I know they're trying to trade for a top-of-the-rotation starter." Still trying, huh? Who could the DC GM be targeting?

Free Agency
I still think that we should go the Free Agent route unless we can get someone to trade for Christian Guzman so that Ian Desmond can be the everyday shortstop. In free agency, there are still:
-Jarrod Washburn
-Braden Looper
I know that they both kind of turned us down earlier on in the offseason but now that we are less than a month away from opening day, i think that they both realize that their options are limited and would be willing to sign a 1 year deal. I think i would prefer Jarrod Washburn but either is fine. Then when chien ming wang is healty, our rotation could potentially be
Jason Marquis
John Lannan
Jarrod Washburn
Chien Ming Wang
Livan Hernandez ( at least until Strasburg is ready to come up)
