Here's the DC Starting Lineup as of 11:37 am EST on Saturday according to MLB.com's Bill Ladson's Twitter (@washingnats):

Why do the jackholes who make the schedule always start us at home against the freaking NL Champions, twice in a row now.
regional rivalry
they want the Nats to sell out opening day. i kid. kinda.

Wonder about Morse
I think he could put it together. I wonder where he will be best defensively. I was kind of hoping for 1st base to replace Dunn when he walks/traded. What do people think of his OF defense or defense at 1st?
his defense at 1b is passable, OF he's not good
plus, he’s no long-term replacement. he’s only one year younger than Dunn.

by Dave at District Sports Page on Mar 20, 2010 1:28 PM EDT up reply actions
We just need a replacement that lets Dunn walk
And if he is a plus defender at first that could be a big selling point in the comparison with Dunn
Long-term replacements at first are everywhere
There seem to be plenty of solid first baseman on one year deals. Branyan, Garko. Or the big free agents come along a lot. Agonzalez, Howard, Berkman, Pena, DLeee
he's passable at first, certainly no gold glover
he came up a shortstop, so he’s got good hands. but he got moved from short cause his footwork is spotty. plus, he’s just not going to hit enough to be a starter at first. he’s got good pop, but as a pinch-hitter, he can look fastball every at bat. if he’s getting 4 ABs every day, he’ll be exposed.
Morse is not a major league starter.

Players get better as starters
They study this. It’s harder to play off the Bench. I’ll be happy if Harris and Morse are starting in RF and 1B. Will mean the team is really building for the future. Don’t clog it with expensive guys like Dunn and Dye who won’t be here when the team is good. Harris and Morse would make our pitchers look good with their Defense. We already have them for cheap.
