The Strasburg Debut Poll
Someone suggested this, and I think it's a darn fine idea. Please submit your guess as to the date of Stephen Strasburg's Nationals' debut:
The conventional wisdom is some time in early June, but sometimes conventional wisdom can be pretty far off. I think in this case it's probably pretty close, and I also believe that the debut will come during a home game.
Remember, this is strictly for entertainment purposes only. Please, no betting.

I voted June 4.
Lerners like their money. He can help the team now. That gets him 2 starts on the homestand. The interleague matchup would be an absolute and total zoo.
Uh...yeah...Let's gets that Calder Cup!!!!
I'm all for the zoo!
Can we add an addendum to this poll?
Question: Will his debut be nationally televised?
YES or NO
This season I will expect the worst but I will be prepared for 'worser'.

I Originally Thought June 8.....
Based on pitching every 5th day….but the recently decided extra day of rest threw a wrench in that philosophy. So….I’ll go with a June 6th Sunday Afternoon game; however, I hope it is Friday, June 4. What would be better? Strasburg baseball fireworks followed by Friday Night fireworks at Nats Park! Either way….I’ll be there!
As long as it's a day in my plan...

41 games, sec 310.
We’ve got June 4 and June 10, so that option works best for us (someone tell the Rizzo, please, so he can adjust Stras’ schedule acordingly….). We’re trading in tickets for the 5th, and maybe for the 6th, too.

My plan is:
To spend a substantial amount of money to see this kid in his inaugural game. Budget be damned. Once in a lifetime opportunity.
You know how Fox News has those irrelevant BREAKING NEWS / ALERT? Can we put up something like that here for when the official word is given for when Strasburg will pitch?
Pretty please?

Teams like to bring a guy up for the first start against a weak team when they can
increases to odds of a win and therefore confidence. I say the Pirates are the most likely option, but the Reds are not a bad choice.

On a Tuesday night, though?
I think they want to get two starts out of that homestand.
Uh...yeah...Let's gets that Calder Cup!!!!
I really hope its June 4th
I don’t want his first game to be against the Pirates, make him play someone he will remember. Besides, I bought tickets for the June 4th game.
The Shanahan era is going to bring the Redskins back to Glory! Great QB and an actual O-line.
I think Rizzo has his room of "numbers" people trying to figure the first home date they can $afely promote him.

Nothing wrong with that.

Parochially ...
I’m hoping for either June 4 or June 10 … since my plan includes the June 10 game. That way I get either his first or second start.
Other than that, I may have to invest in other tickets :-)
Boys and girls...
…if you want a ticket to June 4, my suggestion is act ASAP. There was a large turnout at the park today for the Mets game. There will be large turnouts at the park for the Orioles game as well. There was a line in the store at Nats park with people buying tickets. I thought that I would be safe buying one a couple weeks out. Sadly, that ain’t really gonna work. I ended up buying a singleton somewhere in like 225 for maybe $30, which they said was the cheapest available, way out of budget and not good value for the price. The cheaper seats are mostly taken, I believe and I got to believe that good value in the park will be hard to find.
