MLB.com's Bill Ladson: Ross Detwiler Makes 2010 Debut Sunday.
With Nats' right-hander Luis Atilano placed on the DL with elbow issues earlier this week, the Washington Nationals will turn to their '07 1st Round pick, left-hander Ross Detwiler, who was (2-2) with a 2.27 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 2.0 BB/9 and 8.3 K/9 over 8 rehab starts following surgery on his hip this past spring:
MLB.com's Bill Ladson (@washingnats): "I just learned that LHP Ross Detwiler will make his season debut for the #Nats on Sunday vs. the Brewers. #MLB.com"

IF this is true, I'm happy
I have medium-high hopes for Det. Higher than I do for Chico.

Wait what?
I’m happy and all but what happened to the report that Chico was starting? Anyway.. YAY!!!! So excited our pitchers are finally getting back up here.
the Chico report was conjecture
probably based on the fact that in order for Detwiler to start Sunday he’ll be pitching on three days rest.

Yeah, that's what makes this a weird decision to me.
Trying to see the rotation logic.
Livo yesterday , Stammen, Martin, Detwiler, off, Strasburg. This indicates that they were truly thrown off guard by Atilano (as opposed to making something up). Still, with how poorly he was performing before, it’s kind of tough to see that there wasn’t kind of some plan to get Detwiler in line so he didn’t have to miss a day of rest. Hope he does well, and it would be rather helpful if Stammen and Martin wouldn’t burn our bullpen out over the weekend. Guess they feel Detwiler will get an extra day after the off day anyways.

have to imagine they will keep Detwiler to around five innings on Sunday too
the extra day off next week will help.

The keep him up here for awhile was the clue we should have been looking at in hindsight.
Glad to see him up here, though, especially before the deadline, not that it should matter too much.

Poor Chico.

Yep. He's about done.
Zimmermann’s ahead of him and all of the rehabbing guys are ahead of him as well. He’s pretty much done everything that they’ve asked of him. I don’t know if he can find his way outside of the organization to somewhere he could get a legitimate chance for an opportunity. Martin benefited from outstanding performance and outstanding timing to get his similarly underwhelming stuff a big league look. It’s a business, though, and Martin clearly outperformed him.
