Going out on a limb.
You’ll pretty much be able to sit where you want tonight. I ran over to 409 last night under the overhang and had the section with me and about 30 of my close associates and friends. Then I got to move to the rail in the 300s behind home plate. I was just too lazy to run down to the 100s between innings. Good seats still available.

Do most fans even care about pitching matchups after Strasburg?
If they did, Livo would get a whole bunch more fans at his starts.

Draft day update
Nats draftee LHP Robbie Ray was introduced to Stephen Strasburg and Jason Marquis on the field by Roy Clark during batting practice before today’s game. just a last minute “recruiting trip” by the front office to get one of the last unsigned draft picks into the fold.

Now that would be a big one from what I've heard.
You got any scouting on him? There was rumor earlier in the week that this was already done. Turned out to be false, but it does look like they’re serious about him.
On a desperate search for Sunshine at Nats Park. In Rizzo and Ramos we trust.
Had him in for a workout and gave him the full court press during BP
would have to think that he’s at least considering being talked out of college if he came and worked out.
he’s a skinny LHP out of Tennessee, committed to Arkansas. His FB is 90-92 with plus changeup when it’s on, according to one preview. He threw 3 perfect games in high school this year. in the 12th round, he was the 2nd highest prep drafted by the Nats this year.

So then we'd have what, 3 years? to get him beyond where he would be for college?
He’d need to add velocity, command, professionalism and a 3rd pitch? Still, sounds impressive. From what I heard, we had no chance at this guy. Were we to get He Who Should Shut Up and Sign, Solis, Cole, and Robbie that would be one impressive draft. Major, major arms to help get stuff done. Wasn’t Oduber an overslot guy too? He’s wrecking shop in the GCL from what I’ve seen. Not that GCL is that major, but still.
On a desperate search for Sunshine at Nats Park. In Rizzo and Ramos we trust.
realy don't think Nats are going to ink Cole
personally, I think Harper’s already done and they are waiting until deadline to sign out of deference to Bud Selig. I have no evidence or even whispers to confirm it, just a gut feeling. i think Solis is 50-50 at best and really don’t have hope for Cole.

you are lucky this is a baseball blog and not a hockey one
you seem to be missing an avatar

My avatar is obvious ...

Hey man, I'm about 3 weeks from getting back in the Japers' swing of things.
It’s tougher for me to participate, though because my desktop is upstairs and I can’t listen to hockey like I listen to baseball.

One of the reasons that I push for more Caps/Nats overlap is because I’d like their to be more baseball in the OTOT threads. I yearn for the day when we’ll be able to sustain OT stuff around here.

Gotta say, Saunders has impressed me here sticking around so long after throwing batting practice the first two innings.
the Nats have even had some loud outs during the rest of the game, but he’s really kept his team in it and saved his pen.

Burnett was pitching well tonight.
I’ve give him credit, usually I dog him. However, he is taking saves away from Storen.
Why not us? Why not now?
Saves is really not that great a statistic.
I give Riggleman a lot of credit for going with the hot hand rather than just saying “I need to get the kid a save.”
On a desperate search for Sunshine at Nats Park. In Rizzo and Ramos we trust.
Storen is good but he has real bad splits against lefties.
When there’s a lot of lefties in a save situation. Riggleman will give Burnett a chance to work through it at present. Burnett was awesome.
He earned these!

On a desperate search for Sunshine at Nats Park. In Rizzo and Ramos we trust.
If Storen is the closer of the future
He needs to start getting some looks against lefties though. Regardless. It is a much needed win the the Nats. Hats off to Lannan for going deep into the ballgame.
