Federal Baseball Meetup - Ugly Mug on 8/22

So after much deliberation and debate, we are going to have the first watch party at the Ugly Mug next Sunday at the Ugly Mug. The hometown heroes will be taking on the Phillies, so it should be a good game. Souldrummer went ahead and scouted out the scene, and has given it a seal of approval for number of TVs and general atmosphere.

So we need two things:

1) Please RSVP so we can get a sense of numbers and can try to negotiate a special

2) Rec this so it stays surfaced until next week

I'm out for this one, hope to make the next one

My family is having a party at my brother’s house in Woodbridge to celebrate his birthday. Since it’s also my birthday (twins), I do feel some obligation to show up. I will say that the Ugly Mug is fairly close to work, so if a gathering were held on a weeknight I could make it..

If we’re looking at Sunday travel dates, then the next would be the Sunday, 9/5 game at the Pirates. :-) After that we may want to switch though, since we’d be competing with the NFL.

I needed to group tonight with Strasburg going down.

Recap

A fun time was had by all, except for the outcome of the game. I found parking right away, the bar had a Chad Cordero jersey, and the Blue Moon flowed like water. Hope to see some more people at the next one.
