According to several unnamed sources and even some named ones like DC Skipper Jim Riggleman, the Nationals' '09 no.1 overall pick is reportedly headed for the second DL stint of his rookie campaign after being pulled from the mound Saturday night in Philadelphia with what was initially diagnosed as a strained flexor tendon in his right forearm. There is still no word on the results of the MRI Strasburg was scheduled to undergo in the nation's capital, but before the findings are announced the speculation around Nationals Park this afternoon is that the 22-year-old right-hander is going to miss his next start and most-likely end up on the DL with some guessing that the top pitching prospect in the Nats' system before Stras came around, 24-year-old '07 2nd Round pick Jordan Zimmermann, will be replacing Strasburg for his next scheduled start on Thursday.
