Game 125: This is not the Livan we're looking for.
- Not defying his peripherals tonight: Livan Hernandez (-30.4%) has a rare (for this season) stumble, only going 4.1 IP and giving up 7 ER while striking out 5 but walking 4.
- Wheels off: The third goes all wrong, as Livo gives up a leadoff homer (-10.7%), a two-run single (-11.0%), and a two-run triple (-10.7%) to bury the Nats in a deep, deep hole.
- Sleeping bats: The only Nats' hitters with positive WPA are Ryan Zimmerman (+1.7%) who was 1-3, and Adam Kennedy (+1.6%) who was 0-4 with an ROE.

Wait.
You get a positive WPA for reaching on an error? I mean, yes, the team’s chances of winning increase, but, … hmmm. This just doesn’t sound right.

Phil Wood continuing to delve into the history books...
…he was making a strong case for Lou in the HOF. On sadder notes, he was pessimistic on us seeing Detwiler again in DC this season or seeing Mock getting more than a puncher’s chance in DC during spring.

Shame about Mock
He DID make the team out of Spring Training this year, but got hit with injury. Now I fear he’s going to a forgotten man in the organization. Perhaps he will never make it, but I like pitchers with “stuff”, and Mock is one of those guys. I’d much rather see him than Atilano again.

It is a shame
But you can have all the stuff you can possibly have, but if you don’t hit your spots, you’re going to fall between the cracks
