- Just like the MASN commercial: John Lannan (+29.8%) goes 7.2 IP with 4 Ks and no BBs, allowing only 1 ER thanks (in part) to a pair of GDPs.
- Helping himself out: John Lannan (+17.6%) is 1-3 at the plate with a two-run double (+18.5%) for the early lead.
- M-I-C... Mike Morse (+17.6%) is almost as valuable at the plate as Lannan, going 2-4 with a two-run homer to provide some insurance (+13.4%)
- Warning: Drew Storen (+5.7%) gets a four-out save with 3 Ks, a dinger, and a pause for umpires and a manager to display their plumage.
