Tracking the Minors, Saturday 8/7/10

There's been a bunch more focus on our minor league affiliates and some of the key performers in our minor league system as AAA Syracuse has finally added two prospects approaching MLB readiness. Wilson Ramos' arrival as elite catching prospect to challenge Wil Nieves immediately and Pudge Rodriguez eventually has inspired hope for improving the catcher position. Danny Espinosa's recent 3 HR today for Harrisburg, promotion to Syracuse, and game winning extra inning HR for Syracuse yesterday as also inspired hope. I'm offering this thread for folks who follow the minor league boxscores, listen to some of the radio games, follow AAA minor league Gameday (just like MLB's gameday for Syracuse), and wander around the interwebs seeking knowledge and insight on the minors. Some guys I'm looking at after the jump. As always, I find the best sources for Nats specific minors coverage are Nationals Farm authority, www.natsfarm.com and Nationalsprospects.com, which both do excellent jobs of daily coverage, prospect commentary and organizational tracking with varying directions of emphasis. As always, there's always room for kicking around some new ideas and I'm going to quickly open up this fanpost to try a different approach. Looking forward to getting some feedback from all of you below.
