Washington Nationals Announce 2011 Schedule

I didn't see this anywhere else here on FB, but the Nats have announced their 2011 schedule.

Highlights:

  • The Nats will be at home against the Braves on Opening Day, which, as rumored, is pushed up a few days to allow for the World Series to end in October. Opening Day is Thursday, March 31.
  • The Nats are at home for Memorial Day (Phillies), the Fourth (Cubs) and Labor Day (Dodgers).
  • In addition to the home-and-home interleague series with the O's, the Nats will host the Mariners and visit the White Sox and Angels. I'm guessing this means the Nats will be playing one of those all-NL series while everyone else is in interleague, required by having 16 teams in the NL and 14 in the AL.
  • The Nats get the honor of playing in the last regular season game at Sun Life Stadium, closing the season at Florida on Wednesday, September 28.
