Game 135: Spinner good, but Livo baaaaaad
- Regression? Livan Hernandez (-34.8%) gets shelled in 4.1 IP, striking out 4 walking 2, but giving up 8 ER--including a two-run double in the 3rd that put the Nats behind (-21.1%).
- Boy wonder: Danny Espinosa (+10.5%) has a good second game, too, going 2-4 with an RBI double and a solo shot for the early lead (+11.5%).
- So, can we see Ramos yet? Ivan Rodriguez (-19.4%) GDPs twice to slaughter rallies, once when the game was still close in the 4th (-8.9%) and once with the bases loaded in the 6th (-6.1%).
- Getting there: Tyler Clippard (+2.3%) goes 1.2 scoreless in relief with 2 Ks and walk.

Pudge and Livo
Killing us.

I don't have a problem with it.
Didn’t he have a bum knee crop up in his last start or the start before that? Seems weird, but I’d almost consider shutting Livo down now that Detwiler’s been called up. I doubt they’ll do it, but I’d consider it.

Mock had good numbers tonight
6 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 3 K.

Beat me to it.
I wasn’t going to post his line first in a fangraphs thread. Then I was going to do it after your post. Glad to see he did well. He feels like he could be a real solid guy for Syracuse next year and compete for time with the big club next year. Detwiler, Martis, Mock, Atilano, and Milone would be a real nice rotation for Syracuse, probably one of the best we’ve had since they’ve been in DC.

I hope
he competes for a spot with the big league club come Spring Training.

I'm assuming you're a bigger fan of Mock than Lannan

i still really like Mock too
if he’s healthy and has his head on straight, he’s got some of the best raw stuff in the organization. he’s still young.

How old is Mock, Bally, Detwiler, Martis? I forget since none of them stick.
