Game 140: Moar Ramos, but moar RISP FAIL, too...
- More than a mentor? Livan Hernandez (+7.2%) gives up 3 ER in 6.1 IP with 4 Ks and 2 walks, but it's not enough.
- New rookie hero: Wilson Ramos (+26.3%) goes 2-3 with a double and a two-run shot to tie the game in the 5th (+25.4%). He is the only Nat with positive WPA as a hitter today.
- No other heros? The non-Ramos part of the order goes 1-6 with RISP (with the one hit loading the bases but not scoring a run) and leaving 5 LOB, for -84.4% WPA. Do better.

Livan was excellent today.
He deserved a win. The offense, especially Roger Bernadina, failed in a one out bases loaded situation that left Ramos the only run producer today.
The bullpen failed Livo when Burnett let the inherited runner score. If Burnett’s a top 3 guy in the bullpen, the role that we’re using in right now, he’s got to prevent an inherited runner from scoring in that situation.
After that Peralta was dominant and Storen was very good.

That was godawful.
If I wasn’t listening to Harrisburg right now and trying to follow Potomac I’d be looking up Bernie’s truly horrific WPA for that game.

Sadly, Espinosa's was even worse.

Hmmm.
It’s a process. Those knucklers may not be coming too often in AA/AAA.
