Shortest. Gamethread. Ever.
Sorry, I was off watching Moneyball instead. Who won?
Did you like the Moneyball?
I’m still giggling about Philip Seymour Hoffman demanding a new deal and arguing that he can’t work under a one-year deal.
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

I enjoyed it, figuring that the simplifications were necessary for storytelling purposes
I did enjoy the one year contract discussion :-). It did make me wonder whether Art Howe or Jeremy Giambi saw the movie.

Oh, Art Howe saw it...

Thanks
Jeremy Giambi probably liked it, though.
I spent some time with a guy who was one of Oakland’s coached in 2001 – he said that Jeremy Giambi was the dumbest player he had ever worked with. If Giambi just has the presence of mind to slide, Jeter’s “miracle play” goes for naught and Oakland may well have won that series. How that would have impacted the movie is unclear :-)
