Washington Nationals' Jayson Werth, Stephen Strasburg on ESPN's Baseball Tonight @ 3:30 pm EST.
According to the Washington Nationals on Twitter (@NationalsPR), the ESPN crew is in Viera, Florida today to talk to the Nats.
@NationalsPR: "The ESPN Baseball Tonight bus (Tim K/John K) is spending the day at Nationals camp."
@NationalsPR: "Catch Jayson Werth and Stephen Strasburg, as ESPN features the Nats at 3:30pm (ET) today."

If you're a Nats fan, why even bother watching this?
“Jayson, let’s talk about your contract…” (blah blah blah)
“Stephen, let’s talk about your surgery…” (blah blah blah)
We already know all the questions and all the answers. I suppose this sort of thing is fine for your typical Angels fan, who really knows nothing about Nats baseball, but for us… not so much I’m willing to wager.

Tomorrow is likely to be a lot like today. Don't bother getting out of bed tomorrow morning.
I try not to assume everyone reads everything that you or I might, and provide them with the opportunity to make their own decision. If your’s is to say I’m sure I know everything that will be on there that’s fine.

Yeah, I didn't want to sound in any way that I'm not interested in the coverage
(or your reporting of it), I just have seen enough and heard enough of the national media coverage of the Nats to predict that there will be nothing particularly new in this discussion for the folks who get the local Nats coverage.

Understood, and honestly I just wanted to put something new up top...
Cause I forgot tonight’s game was at 7:00 and didn’t have anything new for this afternoon. I just dvr’d BT in case they snuck anything new or noteworthy in there…

Completely agree
I have noticed some underlying buzz for the Nats in the media as people are starting to take notice. So continued coverage is a good thing.

at least it puts the Nats out there
I’ll watch and see
How can they call it "Baseball Tonight"
If they broadcast it at 3:30pm?
Also note for the headline, it should be "EDT", not "EST"
Pedantically yours,
Thanks.

it wasn't too bad a show
for the little bit of time we got
it’s good to hear outsiders say we are on the way up
and will stay there once we get there, with the young talent
in the pipeline
they don’t think our pitchers will do much this year
Harper excites them
so maybe nothing earth shatteringly new, but it’s a start
Attention given to the previously love lorned Nats shines like the midday sun all along the Natstown skyline.
(Looking for the sheet music to “Here Comes the Sun” and throwing away “Black Hole Sun”)
At least they didn't take the *real* easy road and just go with
“they stunk last year; they’ll stink again this year; end of story.”
Or, worse, “they’re going to stink again this year, and here’s how that’s going to affect the Red Sox and Yankees….”

Playoffs in 2012
At least that’s what they were saying. Actually “competitive” was the word they used.
Interesting that they projected a hitting order/line-up of
Espinosa
Desmond
Zimmerman
LaRoche
Werth
Morse
Rodriguez
Morgan
(pitcher)
I might have mixed up Morgan and Rodriguez. But I definitely remember that Morgan wasn’t in the leadoff spot.
Though that was just ESPN’s current guess, it’s a little interesting that they said Rizzo walked by later and said that they did a good job on the team report. Probably doesn’t mean anything in terms of the line-up. But this is the Internet where we can speculate and read the tea leaves based on every word or look from Rizzo.
Should be a fun season, even if the Nats don’t make the playoffs. As long as there’s solid progress from the young guys like Espinosa, Desmond, Zimmermann, Storen, and Ramos, it’ll be a productive season.
