Enjoy LOLlie
and hope you never have to use him …
WHY???
He’s a no-talent head case and will be taking up a spot in the Harrisburg or Syracuse rotation that could go to someone who may contribute to the Nationals some day.

Or an anti-pitching coach. “Now look youngsters, don’t do anything this fool does!”

Rizzo’s been pointing to his head too much lately, methinks.

Bowden secretly reclaimed the GM position for an hour
Then he signed Perez. Then returned to his radio show. This is all hush-hush, top-secret government spy stuff. Maybe a plot by the Mets owners to undermine the Nats.

You mentioned DC
I thought there was an unwritten rule about not reminding anyone of him. Every time someone mentions him, a minor league pitcher throws a wild pitch somewhere.

I felt it appropriate to recall given my dissapproval of this move.
I thought we – as an organization and fan base had moved past these ‘projects’. Im just glad Bowden wasnt in charge – as he would have paid the Mets $12m
Ian Desmond is my hero!
And now you are green.

@Section138 – Ollie Perez not impressed. He does that every 5 days. RT @washingnats: #NatsRHP Chien-Ming Wang will throw live batting practice on Friday
When I saw he was released
I just knew he would end up with the Nats. Should have played the Lottery.

Maybe...
he would be a good trade option plus some other players when time to recruit a major player?
WTF, this is stupid, there will already be guys who should be in the AA, AAA rotation, that dont get in
Harrisburg's rotation may not be that great.
There’s some organizational depth at Potomac that doesn’t need to be in Harrisburg’s rotation, but how is he going to respond to a minor league demotion? Half the deal is that he wouldn’t accept a demotion with the Mets and they engaged in that whole stubborn let’s see who can break deal.

Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

Spin Williams on Ollie: “I haven’t seen him in several years, so I don’t know what he’s doing right now. It’s an interesting move for us.”
good news?
@NationalsPR Nationals PR
Nationals claim LHP Lee Hyde off waivers from Braves & place RHP Stephen Strasburg on 60-Day DL.
Lee Hyde
Hyde as left-handed relief depth at triple-A. Hyde especially seemed to have a Major League path ahead of him in the bullpen, though it’s likely good news for him as the Nationals will use him in the Majors much sooner than the Braves would have.
Hyde worked his way up from AA to AAA last year. He appears to be a strikeout pitcher, with his 7.29 K/9 at AAA last year pretty much a career low, though his walk rate jumped up at AAA too. We won’t know more until we get some real scouting info on him.
Not shedding tears over Severino
But every year it seems they bring in a LOOGY to push him down the depth chart. Last year it was Jesse English. Now it’s Hyde.

No way nothing to lose. The team is a winner. Everyday is better than the last and now that we've see the flight trajectory of our neighbors pig ...
…we can sit back relax and enjoy the glow of tomorrow’s nuclear dawn…
Got nothing to lose!
Listen guys. This is a smart move by the Nationals. They are pairing Perez back up with the pitching coach who had him pitching his best ball of his career. If this guy can fix his mechanics this might be the steal of the year. I can only dream that Perez’s mechanics and velocity get under control and he pitches against the Mets later this year and earns a “W” while they are still paying him over 11 million dollars…… HAHA. That would be amazing and sweet revenge.
J. Scott Lewis.
He was on steroids when he was with pittsburg, now he is not
That is what happened to his fastball.
