Werth the Motivation ...
I can’t wait for the lockeroom material to effect WErth…I think he is gonna get motivated and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of his best hitting against the Phils this year….every time he steps on a bag or plate I think some talking will ensue…I can’t wait ….
Three weeks and a day....
(must…. maintain….. patience………)

apropos of nothing...
i just want to say i’ve been really intrigued by detwiler this spring and would LOVE to see him seize a slot in the rotation.
also, i don’t know if anyone has ever read about john dewan’s notions on breakout seasons, but basically he says when you look at guys w/ 40 or more spring at bats, an SLG .200 or more higher than career SLG points to a breakout season.
it would be something to see morse continue his mashing and it’s hard to imagine zimmerman being even better at the plate.

Do you have a link to this?
I’m intrigued. I’m assuming that you’re writing this because your optimistic about Morse?

Wait wait, hang on....
I think I feel the beginnings of a teardrop being formed in my left eye upon seeing the devastating news of the Phillies’ plight.
No, never mind. Just allergies.

yeah...
tendonitis is not really correctable by surgery, i believe. he’d just have to more or less stay off the knee for a couple weeks, then rehab.

And if so can I stream it online somehow?
Not on the radio today

boo reading...
I got distracted while I was fielding student questions and went straight to the comments to ask after I looked on Nats Journal and Nats Insider.
Sorry about that. I’m no different from my students I guess
Can we get past the “Werth is Overpaid” as a topic of conversation. The Nats have to overpay to get prime free-agents. Until they have some winning seasons that is how it will be. End of conversation.
Oh, and by the way, Werth is not overpaid because the Nationals have a very good fielder and hitter in the outfield for the first time since they were the Expos. I’ll take that.

The Nats have certainly had some extraordinary bad luck in the outfield
But I believe we will begin to see this turn around in short time.
